Hi all!
I am a 20 year old woman from Australia, and I am looking to move to Spain. I am a lady of several trades, I am a dance teacher, waitress and barista, also with experience in childcare. I am ready to work in any related fields. My partner is a chef so he will most likely not have much trouble finding work.
Is it possible for someone who only knows basic spanish to find a job as awaitress/barista/bartender etc. ? Or am I best off doing a TEFL course?
ALSO
Does anyone have any advice/knowledge from experience on the visa process? I have tried looking online and it is very vague...
We are looking to stay for 6 months minimum, preferably longer or permanently.
Any help or advice is appreciated, thank you!

Hi, without sugar coating it unless you have an EU passport, 500,000 euros to invest in property or an income of around 3000 euros pm you have no chance of finding legal work in Spain. This isn't to say you can't find something seasonal on the illegal side of things. Since Spain is a Schengen country you would only be able to obtain a tourist visa for 6 months out of twelve if you only have an Australian passport. You could ask at your nearest Spanish embassy in case there is some kind of exchange programme that is on the books. Sorry not to be able to give you much positive advice.

Agree with kwelbi but I think its only 90 days in a 180 day period. Check here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_Australian_citizens

Looks to me like your best bet is to get that TEFL certificate and see about getting a job teaching English. The school that issues the TEFL can put you in touch with prospective employers in Spain. You may not have a huge choice of exactly which city you may end up in, but at least you'd be in Spain. TEFL courses are taught all over the world, and you may even find a course taught in Spain.
