Leasing a car?

Hi all. We've moved to Valencia for a year and are trying to figure out the best way to have a car. We don't live in the city, so we need a car for daily use. I wondered if anyone had advice or recommendations about leasing a car? Others have suggested renting month-to-month, but that seems pricey. Just want to explore all the options. Any advice welcome. Thanks!

Hi, just had a quick look at leasing offers and they all seem to be 60 month contracts. Your best option is probably to spend a few thousand Euros on a used car and resell when you leave. Have a chat with a dealer and see if they can do a deal to buy back the car. I once sold the same car three times and I wasn't even a dealer, it was just a runabout and each buyer just had it for a few months and offered it back when they left.

I have a retired friend that splits his time between Malaga and England.

He rents a 'D' class car for 89 days at the airport for 560 Euro. Rental prices include insurance but not deductible. You can get an annual deductible policy from icarhiresurance.com for 40 Euro.

Check your area for similar deals. Overall, may be easier to have a new car every 3 months and not pay insurance.

Any contacts you can provide a class D rental vehicle in Spain's airports? Thanks

If you fly into Malaga, Malagacar is excellent. They do not hassle you, the price is good, and they don't try and whack you for car damages you didn't do like many Spanish car rental companies do.
