hi there,
i am a former ballet dancer who, b/c of my love for elephants, joined ringling bros circus back in 1980.
it wasn't long before i hated ringling b/c of their treatment of the 18 ele's in their care.
i stayed for 3 years b/c i couldn't leave my ele's....eventually, i was fired for my reports to whatever agencies would listen.
my time in the circus was a blessing and a curse....i saw awful things but i also had the privilege of having an elephant as my best friend.
many years have past and all of them have been devoted to learning and teaching whoever will listen about the asian/indian ele's.
now that my daughter is almost out on her own, i would like to live with and film these amazing creatures everyday for the rest of my life.
and yes, i have been to sri lanka, tibet, thailand, india, etc... over the years and have an idea of what to expect.
would love to meet others with the same passion and knowledge of the ele's.
