" We will be moving to Geneva in June of 2000. Considering I have a teenage son who will be attending an international school and 2 small dogs, is there any advice as to what kind of housing to rent..home or apartment? It has been our experience as seasoned expats that it is helpful to live in ""expat"" areas and those areas convenient to schools. Any helpful hints and advice on specific areas? Any info is will be appreciated!! Thanks, Tamara Caufield "

Dear Tamara... there really are no expat aresa in Geneva but a large number of people do live near the school; but the majority of the children actually travel to school by public transport which is very safe and on time. If he is a teenager I would consider being near good public transport syatem as the children do socialize a lot a night and they need good transport to get home. Always being picked up by parents is not considered a plus. Contact the school and they can give you a list of the most popular places to liver for the parents. Beat wishes Jan Ives
