Buying a car: Is it possible?

Hi ! I am currently holding a 'L' work permit. I was told by my colleagues in Zurich that it would not be possible for me to buy or lease a car in Zurich as I only have a 'L' work permit and is not a resident.

Can anyone pls advise if this is true and if there is anyway to get around it?

Buying a car, no problem all you need is money. Leasing one a bit more of a problem. You have to show a CH address and a clear way of paying through your lease contract.
