B work permit / resigning

I have a B work permit valid until Nov 2003 and am thinking of resigning from my current employer.

1. Does the B permit expire the very moment I resign, or can I legally stay in CH until Nov 2003 and in the meantime try to find a new job (and thereby new B permit)?

2. What happens if the B permit expires with my resignation? How much time can I legally stay in CH to find a new job? 3 months?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

That depends on where you originate from. If it's inside the EU then you can stay as long as you can afford it. If you are from outside the EU then you should check with your local consulate or embassy
