Hi all!
I am a young Australian female, who needs some help finding a job in Switzerland. I will be living with my boyfriend in the Swiss-German speaking areas of Switzerland and would really love to find a job that i would enjoy for the duration of my stay (1 year)
I am most interested in working within a Not Fot Profit Organisation, as i am extremely interested in International Development, or alternatively i would be more than happy to teach English as i have a TEFL Certificate. Please anyone with information help me! I find that i go in circles when searching through the net and i'm not sure if i should try and set something up now, or wait until i am there next year?
What do you think?
Thanks for your help,
Kindest Regards,
Jessica

Hi,
I was unemployed here for a while in 2005 and took the 1-month intensive CELTA course (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), after which I walked into a job. You should be able to too, but I doubt you'd be able to organise it before you arrive. I'm no longer teaching, but why not write an email to Keith R. Daborn, head of the Cambridge Inst. in Zürich, and ask him about your qualifications and the current climate. Here's a link:
