I will be working for a non profit called The Hope Trust and living about 1 hour from Arusha. I have been before a few years ago but wondered if anyone had any ideas for ways to meet people. I am thinking about relocating to East Africa and would love to talk with those who have.

Also--I want to buy a cheap guitar when I am there---anyone have any ideas ? tahnks

Hi Lori,
Like you I am moving to Dar at the end of May. I usually get straight to sports to find some new friends. I play tennis, so need to find a tennis club/ or courts. I also join the Hash House Harriers as it has proven over years to be a community of diverse folks, and usually there is one or two whom you will connect with and/ or enjoy. Also of course through our work we will be able to meet many Tanzanians and other expats.
