Moving to Dar es Salam Tanzania

I am planning to move to Dar es Salam from Mumbai in early 2013. I have a few queries

1. What is the avearge rent of furnished 1 BHK apartment

2. Is rent for 12 months need to be paid in advance.

3. My future employers would help me in acquiring a Tanzanian Driving Licence. I want to know how much time is required.

4. I want an idea on average cost of lving for 2 persons without any school going children.

where do you originate from???
where do you plan on being situated in Dar?
where will you be working???

I originate from India and would be moving in to Dar from Mumbai. I am planning to stay in Upanga. I shall be working in a General Insurance Company with office in Harbour View Avenue. Where are you working and which is your place in UK. Looking forward to hear from you

Hi Biswas,

Hope you have moved successfully to DAR ES SALAM. I have also got an offer from one of the companies in DAR, Tanzania. I would like to know the safety & Security status in Tanzania.

Also if you can give me more info on the following.....
-Housing/ Accommodation Facility
-Electricity/Drinking Water Facility
-Vegetarian Food Availability
-Medical Facility

I am from Mumbai and I need to know if it is worth moving to Tanzania.
