" Does anyone know what a ""GEEZA VISA"" is?? I,m told it refers to a form of Thai visa for people over age 55 who want to retire in the Kingdom. I would like to have the official name, description and specifics. Thank you. Michael Merrill "

Go to http://www.thaiembdc.org/forms/visa.pdf for information right from the horses mouth....A retire may obtain a one year visa with a deposit of aprox $18000 in a Thai bank and provide info of income eg such as Social Security etc.

" The Visa you ask about is a Non-Immigrant class O valid for one year. In UK now they are issuing them from most Thai Embassy offices. You have to be 55 years old. Money in Bank, well this is felxiable, as they say. Have paper work with you to show your income, yes have if you need a bank account in Thailand, but with a Thai Goverment Bank. "
