I'm looking for a decent immigration lawyer in Thailand (Phuket if it matters). Yes, I know how to google :) but I am rather interested in first-hand experience.

Someone who can handle a bit non-standard cases, returns calls and not afraid of Skype and check his email at least twice a day (with 12 hours difference with Eastern Time emailing becomes a crucial way of communication). Preferably, not big names (not one of those European-branded companies with European rates ).

Thank you.

I'm an attorney in California and I have assisted Thai people to immigrate to the US, but cannot tell from your request to which country you are interested in immigrating . If you need help immigrating to Thailand, I recommend Nida Rayburn in HUa Hin. Her husband is American, she represents Americans and Europeans in divorces, real estate transactions, and immigration issues. Her email is huahinlawyer1@gmail.com.

SIAM LEGAL
Pay the money and be happy, keeps you from doing any leg work...... All cases are different, I contacted them before leaving the states and moving here. All of the paperwork was done and yes you can call or Skype.

This all depends on what kind of service you are looking for. If you are simply looking for a "retirement visa," do it yourself. Last I recall, they were asking between $800-$1000 USD for something you can do for a fraction of that cost. I ALWAYS recommend becoming a member of ThaiVisa.com and posting your questions there. Many helpful people with tons of experience, most likely have already gone through what you are attempting and can give you the latest information on an ever-changing landscape.

Mod & David at Hua Hin Legal Services could be of great assistance.
I sought the help of the agency you reflect in your emails but realized there is a much better way.
I concur with the thaivisa.com recommendation and a DIY approach which I utilized coming over on a 30 day visa exempt shortly turning to a visa for retirement purposes.
