Is a Work Visa Required for Me?

Hello everyone. I am considering a move to Bangkok very soon. I am wondering about the work visa requirements. I will be working for an American company and dealing with clients in/from the U.S. My work allows me to work from home, so I am considering making my home somewhere outside the states. Will I be required to have a work visa, or can I get by with a different type as I am not working for a Thai company or with Thai clientele.

Technically, anyone who works in Thailand needs a work visa as well as a work permit, but I recommend that you visit he forums at http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/1-thai-visas-residency-and-work-permits/ and post your issue there,where it is likely that someone with similar experience can assist.
