" Hello Mary, unfortunately I can offer no advice as I too am seeking a life in Holland. My wife Carina (Swedish) and our six year old daughter Zoey have been living with me in Stocholm Sweden for the last 10 years but now reside in the bay area (California). I am an elementary school teacher and my wife a hair stylist. We were wondering if you knew anything about the job market concerning teaching, working with youth etc. We would like to be near or in either Rotterdam or Amsterdam. What sort of position did you obtain in the international school? If you have any ideas or information I would be grateful. Thank you Theo H. Lundgren "

" To Theo: If you are interested in teaching overseas, I would suggest you consider looking at the following websites: www.tieonline.com (The International Educator) www.iss.edu (International School Services) Both of these websites contain updated information about overseas jobs in teaching, administration, and school counseling. They also identify where and when they hold ""Job Fairs"" (also known as ""Recruiting Fairs"") for people interested in working overseas. There''s a wide range of schools, and benefits, so it pays to look around. There is also another publication called ""TES"" which stands for the ""Times Educational Supplement"" It provides listings of jobs in both Europe and the UK. So far, I''ve worked at an international school in Europe, (Salzburg, Austria) and at two different international schools in Singapore. (Overseas Family School, and the Singapore American School) If you''d like further information, please feel free to contact me at the above e-mail address. Good luck! Mary "
