" Unless you have skills, such as CIA or other high profile chef school training, it will be virtually impossible to find a job working in the Netherlands. To be hired as a foreigner outside of the European Union, it would have to be shown that you posess skills that are not available in the Netherlands or the E.U. One thing you might consider if you have substantial risk capitol is opening a small business. This is involved but not overly impossible. Another thing to consider is rent in Amsterdam is upwards of $750 US a month; cost of living is comparable to Boston. But if you are from D.C. that shouldn''t be anything new. Good luck Ben "
