" HI everyone, I haven''t been around on the list for a while. It looks like I''m repatriating to the USA after many years, and I''m doing research now. I''m hoping someone has some experience or info about moving stuff back. I''ve been able to find info on shipping by PTT post, UPS, andI had an international moving company come by. Hiring a moving company is the only way I''ve come up with so far to move a lot of stuff, especially the larger items. But at prices starting at about 5000NLG for the smallest amount- and that only to the harbor in NYC- makes it unattractive to bring my IKEA furniture, and looks better to pare my possessions down and just ship packages or take extra luggage (at about 225NLG for an extra box weighing 32 KG) But there must be another way- like shipping WITHOUT a moving company, for example. Does anyone have ideas about this, or services/companies they''ve used? Is shipping a useful option- or is there something else I haven''t thought of? Thanks a million Euros. Becca "
