Does anyone know if it is worth while to ship our good but not very new car to the Netherlands?

We do not plan to use it during the week, mostly for weekend excursions.

Roughly, what are the costs of buying / holding a car?

Unless your car is very special - like the camper I shippedfrom the US to Holland some years ago - it is better to buy a used car in Holland.
