I am moving to Trinidad in March and starting to pack up the personal items I wish to bring over there. My husband thinks a lot of our electrical items that are 24ov will not work over there as the electrical items are 110v. Will I need to buy a converter/inverter so that our electrical goods will work over there?

It's not only the voltage you have to consider but also the frequency for appliances that rotate. UK is 50 c/s, Trinidad is 60c/s.

Thanks for the reply, this is what we thought. Maybe need to rethink what we are bringing then!

Things that will be constantly plugged in should have its own. Things that you'll plug in once and a while can probably share one.

A minor correction: Trinidad's voltage is actually 115V @ 60 Hz. (Wikipedia link here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mains_electricity_by_country).
Before buying a bunch of inverters, check the fine print on the back of your electronics. Many modern power supplies can handle a wide range of voltage and frequency. For instance, my laptop charger says "100-240V, 50-60 Hz". So, that would work in both Trinidad & the UK.
