Hello everybody!
I am Canadian planning to spend my golden years in Spain and am looking for any information regarding available for me health insurance providers, and, most importantly, costs associated. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Sorry folks, posted to a wrong forum…
I even asked the moderators to remove my post, but than I reconsidered: why don’t we talk about health insurance providers, coverage they give, and associated costs for non-EU retirees in Turkey? I believe such discussion could be quite useful for many.

Hello, I live in Izmir but I've been researching health/medical insurance for a couple of years now. So far the only affordable insurance has been for travel and only for that limited time. After a year's residency in Turkey, you can apply for the national health insurance, which we will do since we haven't found a co. that will cover my son's precondition and one for me, over 75.

Hi there!
What private health insurance company do you employ? Are you happy with the services provided?
It is my understanding in order to be granted a residence permit in Turkey one must be in possession of the appropriate health insurance certificate.
Please chime in, folks!
