Hi
We are located in Mugla area. What do residents in other areas feel about the new rules?

From mid january the gov changed the residency rules overnight.

for example if you arrive at the airport to enter Turkey today. passport control will look at the past year entry and exits. If you have been out of the country more that 120 days in the past 12 months your residency is cancelled and you can only enter on a tourist visa. The 120 days was reduced from 180 overnight. even if you have an old blue residency book with another 2/3 years to run because you have over run the 120 days it becomes cancelled. this has serious implications for things like SGK membership, car/motorbike ownership buying and selling, mobile phone/internet contracts etc etc
