2.000 USD translates roughly into 6,000 Turkish Lira. I don't know what kind of lifestyle you and family have but in Turkey 6K TL is perceived as quite high a salary. While I don't know much about Ankara I can tell you that you can find a nice apartment for less than 1.700-1.800 TL, or about 600 USD, If you want, let say a high end brand new penthouse type place, than that will prolly cost you around 2.500 or more turkish lira, or between 800 to 900 bucks a month. Good luck on your move if u decide to do so. Turkey is e great place to live and raise family.

best

hi mumtazalihw,

2000 USD is avarage price in Turkey. But important thing is the salary is with tax or without tax? In Turkey we pay around 30% taxes. Be carefull.
private school prices are very high in Turkey. If you want to send your children private school you have to consider this. If your children at school ages and if they dont know Turkish language you should send them to private school. It's yearly cost is around 6000 USD. So 2000 USD is not above avarage salary in Turkey.
Hope this is enough info.
