expats do have yardsales esp those that have lived here long enough to buy their own furnishing but there also events for yardsale like "trash and treasure" once or twice a year at the hub, "boot sale" annually at the airstrip and the annual flea market at Makindye country club (former American recreation association). also u can check out items online on eyetrade.ug
anyway, back to the living room set, its going for 750.000shs with a little room for bargaining. i recommend to check it out first. i live in Kololo. inbox for location info. thanks

I appreciate all the info. We are establishing a home for sexually abused, impoverished adolescent girls. As you can imagine, as a ministry our resources are very limited. I would prefer to purchase a whole house full of furnishings as I have seen people offer this for extremely reasonable prices. If your furniture is still available and you are running out of time to sell and will offer it at a discount, please let me know. I will be arriving March 11.
