Hi, my plan is to move to a Russian speaking country by the end of this year. This place (Unmerica) hasn't felt like my home for decades and now I have finally decided to do something about it. But I only speak a few words in Russian. I have tried to learn the language on my own and it just doesn't stick in my head. My brain doesn't seem to learn that way. I need a tutor who is a native Russian speaker. A female is preferred because over the years I've found that my brain absorbs information better from a female voice than male. Perhaps it's because my brothers, sisters and I were raised by a single mother (8 of us) I don't know.
Just a little personal info about me so you know I'm serious, determined, and to get to know a little about me. I love to work in my garden, take long walks, hiking, biking and swimming. I would love to go on vacation and see the many wonderful places I've only read about and learn to ski, waterski, snorkling, maybe even scuba diving among others.
Now you know a little about me, feel free to send me a private message with your email or skype or reply here.

Hello. Actualy I was not able to learn English at school and university. Repetition of rules was very boring and not interesting. Then I started looking for ways to learn English without rules, the study of certain subjects, on the associative level. Its helped me. I studied English for 6 months. I would like you to talk to me and if you will accept my level of English, you will have the same level of Russian. My Skype julia_461 Yulia.

Good for you Yulia. Your message came to my e-mail, near Chicago. I regret that I am not a Russian speaker, as my wife has been here for 20 yrs now, and I remember a lot of her introductions before we got together were listening to BBC, which has its own different handful of words. I only know a few words of Russian, Polish, and Spanish, but only to order at a deli or bar. Rules are "frustrating", I learned basics doing my daughter's english not long ago. We learn so many words in primary grades, but rarely use them in our lives unless one is a journalist.

Hello, I can have online Russian language lessons by Skype with you. My name is Oxana. I am a native speaker of Russian, currently living in Manchester (in the UK), university educated with years of teaching experience of Russian and English as a foreign language. I can help you to choose an appropriate individual educational program, and the quantity of hours per week. As for duration, I would recommend one hour and a half lesson twice a week. As for the way of teaching, I use the communicative method. The main focus is on using the language. You start speaking Russian from the very first lesson. Russian grammar will be introduced to you in a clear structured format - you will see that there is an understandable logic. You will not be overloaded with grammar tasks and will learn only as much grammar as you need in order to speak and understand Russian. If you`d like to use a book during the course, together we can choose a book that will best address your needs. At the same time, most lessons are held without the use of a book. The book would mainly be used for reference and homework material. We could meet up in Skype and have the initial interview just to discuss all the questions that you may have. We can do it tomorrow or any other day that is suitable to you. My Skype details are venera2524. My e-mail is venera25@bk.ru. Besides, you can check out my own website and learn more about a "mysterious Russian soul" :) http://venera25.wix.com/truerussian and join my Russian language group in Facebook True RussiaN https://www.facebook.com/groups/truerussian/ Besides, the payment for a block of 5 one hour and a half lessons is at a reduced rate only 150 GBP excluding PayPal fees (they are. about 8-10 pounds GBP) or Western Union is another option. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Oxana

I see that you have been inundated by people wanting to teach you Russian online. My advice would be to save your money and wait until you actually get here. In Odessa you can find a bilingual tutor for $7/hr and you can learn a few words and phrases and then go out on the street with your tutor and actually use the language. That is a much more effective and realistic way to learn.
