Can anyone recommend any other cities in Odessa Oblast that might be nice and safe to live in other than Odessa. Maybe Yuzhne or Illichivs'k? Looking for an alternate location to research for possible future home with lower propery costs than Odessa. I was really shocked how homes, propery, and apartments still hold such a high desired purchase value in Odessa after all that has happened over the last two years in Ukraine. Maybe I am very wrong!! But, I have a difficult time spending the same money I have spent in Syracuse Utah/USA on property and a home, in a country that has had Ukraine's issue's the last two years. Along with it's currency value drop 3x over the last two years!! Willing to consider alternate cities to save $$$. Any suggestions?

Hi NA67-- Youre question is a complex one. I'll try. Living in Ukraine is great for some-- not so for others. Some love their shopping malls, close proximity to food shopping--some love their privacy. Living in any large city in Ukraine will be much more costly than in what we call the suburbs. Odessa oblast is a very large oblast (State as we would say) My wife is from This oblast as well. By train she was 3 1/2 hours away- just 30 miles from Moldova. The cost of living in Odessa city is the beckon of the beautiful Black Sea. A favorite summer recreation area now in Ukraine. Befor the Beaches of the Crimea were the favorite. Since the Russian domination (Invasion) of the East of ukraine, this has changed. It may be well for you to go buy some land and have your own home built your way! Most Ukrainian homes lack that American style, or needs . All major cities in Ukraine will be much more expensive than the smaller cities will be. I have a home in Kherson--about two hours from Odessa by car- not too expensive there. Most of Ukraine is becoming more modern now-- most appliances, and furnishings can be had in most cities. Yes, with the economy so down, many places are available at lower prices. I'll write more later, as wife has prepered a fine meal for us-- gotta go -- Do not be disappointed -- life is good in Ukraine Bill

Howdy Bill, I saw you post for Nate. Why anyone would care what flag is on the pole is beyond me:put the Confederate flag,I'm not working for $300/month, or wait 3 months for backpay. I take exception to the dufuss's with the american flag. You know about bad climate as you posted you were in Houston 30 yrs.(poor oxygen content in the summer) as the humidity and dew pt. are to the moon.I just saw how to get to the front of the line on the TSA site. Have you pre-registered, or signed up for Global Entry? The site said one just gives them your card, and put your finger on the scanner, no undressing or shoes baloney.I will look into this, the TSA is $85 for a 5 yr card, the Global is $100. We never fly on an American airline, they are the worst, that goes for Lufthansa also. United almost killed my wife, (she got pneumonia)and ebstein -Barr virus, and I am STILL blamed for it. She likes LOT, and there won't be arabs with them. We can go O'Hare-warsaw-kiev.I want to see Moscow, "what a place!"

Thank you for your reply Khersonbill. Living in a big city like Odessa would be nice, but I would need to find an area I felt comfortable with, that I felt we fit in. Me and my wife (Lena) are not really apartment type people. But we can live just about anywhere for the right price as long as we feel safe and its a good area. Today, my Lena loves to play in flowers and a garden!!! I grew up in a town in Kentucky population of 3500. Malls are nice to visit about once every 2-4 weeks))) I have no problem with a much smaller city. We visited two areas a lot near Odessa. Fontanka and Chevroni Hutir. Fontanka was ok, I just felt the building of homes could have been laid out a bit better, and the roads made me wish for of my Jeep at home))). Chevroni Hutir and Gold Mtn. we liked a lot, I just felt they were very over priced for land and homes in Ukraine. I'm talking USA prices and higher. And I would not trade my current home and community for either of them at their current asking prices! Hence my headache with paying current asking prices for Gold Mtn. and Chevroni Hutir. I am more than willing to consider a smaller city, its just difficult to do the leg work living in the USA. I enjoy doing the recon in a new area, checking out the entire community top to bottom. Another area we liked south side of Odessa was Arcadia, but it seemed a bit for tourists. And some areas seemed set up for night clubs are party hounds. By the time I can get to Odessa I would be about age 59...night clubs and party's wont be my desire at that time. Quite, peaceful, no street protests, and little traffic noise would be high on my "want list". If you can think of a city or area even if it is small let me know. Thanks, Nate

Syracuse?? I spent the last 20 years of my life in Layton/Kaysville.
I will give you my two bits worth on places to live around Odessa. Some days when I am bored I just walk to the nearest bus stop and get on any random bus and ride it to the end of the line to see where it goes. As a result, I have been to many of the 'suburbs' around Odessa. I was not impressed with Illichivsk. It seemed to be just a smaller version of Odessa with no extra appeal. Mayaki and Teplodar were nice, clean small towns. And farther south there is Belgorod-Dnestrovsky. It has some interesting historical features. All of these places are far enough away from Odessa to get away from the congestion and crowds, but they are still in the public transportation grid so you don't have to buy a car if you don't want one.

Hey guys, I'll share some experiences I have had.. First Mr Extreme, Bukovel..Very very cool ! Tip, stay at the Hotel on site as there isn't much in the surrounding areas. Been there, great times..Everything available on site. Next : FYI NA67.. Fisrt though, my wife is named Lina, funny..And you and I are the same age.. Aracadia, big NO for me and as you stated is correct. SO, Kherson Bill's post is correct. Yuzhne I have been to many many times, there's like 3 cool things in Yuzhne.. It's a seaport with nothing to do except work. So, I live in Odesa Oblast in FONTANKA !! hahaha.. Wish you woulda stopped by..So I did exactly what Bill said and built my own house but did shop Ukraine as you are for a year !! Fontanka has 3 regions, Fontanka 1,2,3....One is the best one because of the roads and location. I too did not want to drive through the muddy snow and rain ditches to get home every night. Fontanka 1 has approximately say 3 miles of paved roads..Now some hard factual numbers. Bare land is about 10k per Sotko.. ( 10x10 meters ) so you need a minimum of 3-4 Sotko depending on your cash right.. Next,, Building your own costs at a bare minimum 125 dollars per sq ft. on up. Depending on amenity's etc. Keep this in mind though. You, or I, or anyone else will never build for that because of personal preference. Feasable yes, possible no, add 30 percent ! In my case, I didn't even try, I just built what I wanted with the American amenity's, and all of them, inside and out, plus the Ukrainian sauna and a few things my wife likes. I did that so I would feel at home and I do feel that when there. But my friend, there are at minimum, 300 houses 1/2 finished and no progress being made because they have run out of money because of the reason I stated. In talking to some of them they have no idea what it costs to FINISH a house. Mine is about 2200 ft and was much more than 125 per ft. Plus the 6 Sotko.. And my friend, Ukrainians do not know how to design a house ! And the architects don't either ! So it's a terrible idea to build your own house unless your as stubborn as I ! Moving forward, design the house yourself and be ready for one of the toughest things you have ever experienced, then throw in the language barrier to boot. Would I do it again, of course, no if's and's or butt's ! But, a more economical way with less headache, less corruption fee's ( gas co. elec. co. plus a few other small one's ) is to buy one of these houses that are 1/2 done and finish it yourself. Or do as I also am in the middle of and that is to buy a fixer and go that route. My opinion is that you will not like the design of the houses that are finished. I looked at 30 of them and disliked all of them. Nothing even tempting. So the remodel im doing now has like 2.5 Sotko but the house was a rag muffin !! Total to buy was 25k..The way it sat. So Georgee who works for me ( maybe the only honest guy in Ukraine, lol ) and I will remodel everything. I have already added two bedrooms and almost demolished the rest. My budget is/ was 35k to complete the remodel but of course add the 30 percent again because of personal preference..So do the math, i'll have 70k into a small 3 + 1 in a very desirable area with paved streets for 70k..It could sell for about 120k on the high end after im done. Furthermore in Fontanka 1 you can buy old house and redo them and that is what I suggest. Forget the permits and inspections that way, do them yourself !! hahaha. And it's great to be the architect and build what you want..So being able to find a small fixer such as I did for the price was extremely lucky but it did happen. So obviously in todays market, building from scratch costs much more than buying a fixer and doing the work yourself to make it home for you. Buying ready to move in property's in any area of Odesa will start at roughly 100k. That is the LOW END, So I hope that helps and finally, if I can help you in anyway I certainly will. I understand the difficulty's and have experienced them all ! The hard way ! As I said though, I have built houses from scratch and have remodeled say about 100 in the states. Only 3 there so far. I'm kinda strange but I enjoy it !!! Don't forget to join us for a bbq if you haven't read that !! Thx, Ken

Great post Ken, thanks! Tell me more about building...I have not actually seen was a "house" is like, just hotels and apartments. Is it concrete construction like all the apartments? One woman I dated didn't understand why we build houses out of wood in the U.S....
Also, when you say, you built it...you mean you had contractors come in and do the work for you, correct? Is it difficult to actually do the work yourself? I am not a contractor, but I have done my fair share of electrical and finish work. I am going to assume it's cheap to just pay someone to do it, but like you, I am anal about getting things done right. I have seen how they do electrical work in apartments I have rented...scary.
Do you run into building code issues? Are there 50 different permits you have to get, inspection to schedule, etc. etc.?

kkmail-- big howdy from Texas. You are absolutely correct in stating that so many homes are standing as shells, and unfinished all over Ukraine. When the bank financing dried up as this downturn in the economy, so many builders merely walked off the jobs. No money to pay workers, no money for materials-- Fast forward-- Look at these un-finished homes in the areas you would like , finish them your style. By doing this you can add as many electrical outlets as you like, (most homes now use extension cords) all over the place. The streets in most of Ukraine are PATHETIC at best. some are possibly 10 feet wide, and as wavy as the tide in the ocean. My Ford Mondeo I had there , was constantly scraping underneath. My home runs on just 50 amps--250 volts. It was just 16 amps. I did A little upgrade. this required an inspector, and a little pocket warming material. One BIG hint in negotiating with purchases is to let a native speaking person do the talking! Best if you dont utter a word. If you are known to be an American, the price will most likely double. In summary, buying these unfinished homes would be advantageous , as price, and styles to suit your life style. I do love the Ukraine people, lifestyles, and so inexpensive to live there. Good luck to all. Bill

Wow guys, thanks so much for all the info. Russophile you lived in Layton/Kaysville, thats crazy....small world. I was stationed at Hill A.F.B. when I was a kid out of High School. I feel in Love with the Mountains and hunting here. So after I got out of the Military at Shaw A.F.B. in South Carolina I came back to Utah to work at Hill. I will have 22 years of Goverment time (civil service) in April. I can retire with 30 full retitement in 8 years 5 months from today....buy who's counting))) With the economic down turn in Ukraine we thought we might take advantage of the situation and grab a flat, property, or home. Searching was fun, but a bit frustrating at times. I know all about keeping my mouth shut and not speaking English. I never speak when we get a taxi until price has been set, otherwise the price goes up 3-4 times. I can only imagine how much they would "break it off" in me for a home. So my wife will do all negoiateing in that regards. Yes I noticed alot of homes in Fontanka and other places just 50% built. I will discuss this buying option with my wife. To be honest my wife is very disappointed with what is happening in Ukraine today. Currency/Hryvnia down 3x since we were their in 2012. Cost of gas, electricty, medicine, and items in the stores are up since our last visit. This is not much of a issue with our American money. But Lena's family is hurting alot with their reduced value of their pensions. To be honest here my new friends....I could not believe how many people I saw diging around in garbage cans while we were in Odessa...I assume looking for food or something of value. We handed out a bit of money, and bought meals for some. It was just to many to help all that needed help! I felt many of the people we meet (taxi drives, beauty salon workers, restaraunt workers, workers at the malls, were in shock and so heart broken over the economic situation and Goverment corruption in Ukraine. I feel many have lost hope, and dont know what to expect for the future. Their just waiting for something and their not sure what "it" really is. Since our visit my wife is less enthusatic about living in Ukraine. I said wait, we have 8 years, maybe things will improve. It's hard not to like Ukraine, the food, the culture, the people are just so kind. I love talking to many of them, especially the younger people. They are full of hope and hunger for a better life. I am not sure why, but I love being around these people. I feel more comfortable with them than most Americans I know. My favorite Ukraine city by far is L'viv. But my wife was not treated the best their when she spoke Russian. So, Lena says L'viv is not an option any more. Kapits))) for me)))). KEN!! Is "Fontanka 1" the closest area by the mall. Or up the road near Vapnyarka and Nova Dofinivka? We drove thru Nova Dofinivka first, second was Vapnyyarka, (no thanks) then got into Fontanka. I not sure if we were in 3 or 1. But by the time we pulled into the Mall, I was beat to death from traveling those roads. Our friends Honda civic bottomed out so many times, I thought I was going to need to buy him a car!!! Needless to say, I bought him coffee and lunch! We did not drive the homes much close to the mall, I bet thats the area with the better roads. Because I never saw a good road))) Question !! How long do you think propery will be down their, how much time do I have to get a decent deal you think? I am not sure if Ukraine has hit bottom yet. I saw on Bloomburg financial web site, Ukraine Gov. almost let the Hryvnia fall to $1 USD=40 Hryvnia for the 2016 budget. If this happens, one would think propery would get even cheaper. But, I could be wrong!

Too many Utahns on this forum...what is up with that? I am living in Holladay right now, son's in Highland...looking to buy some land in Lehi so my kids can build houses. But WHEN I finally get my Ukrainian wife (still working on it), I want to get a place probably near Odessa also that I can split my time between the U.S. and Ukraine. I like the idea of getting a half built one and finishing it off. Probably be ready to do that at the end of this year.

I'm not from Utah, but I lived in Las Vegas for 8 years. I am originally from oklahoma, my family immigrated to San Antonio from the canary islands back in the 1700's. Grew up in a German/Spaniard home. I read the post about the grivna falling to 40:1 in the 2016 budget. I told my wife this and now she is worried because of her retail clothes bussiness here in nikolaev. Now she wants to start saving money for when it gets bad. I told her we could get an account at private bank also for when I transfer my pension every month from bank of america, I have an account to place it in. But she is dead set against this. She says two years ago the banks crashed and wouldn't let people take more than 100usd a day. Now she says we need to keep all our money in dollars. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. Now she's in panic mode. For you guys out there who have a ukrainian wife maybe you can relate. She likes the idea of fontanka and finding a house that is 50% built. She says there are many. Maybe we on this forums should pool out money and buy a big tract of land there on the beach and start an American colony there. LOL. since it seems so many of us are interested in the area. If the grivna does go to 40:1 then we could swoop into this area and get it cheap. My wife doesn't like it when the grivna falls and many people with dollars buy up the grivna and then later when the grivna gets strong they buy dollars back for a profilt, because it only hurts ukraine further. But it's what the oligarch loves and does. So I plan to do it also when it happens. Looking forward to meeting you guys who are living here now ken, bill and russiofile. I keep my wife up to date on the happenings on this forum as she too interested in meeting other ukrainian women married to westerners and comparing war stories about us I'm sure. The rest of you guys who want to come here so your dollar will go farther and get out of the US drama (the us is a sinking ship) and marry a genuine beautiful feminine woman, then just come here and live for awhile. The people are warm and caring and you will find your dream girl the old fashioned way. There is nothing like walking down the street at least here in nikolaev, and almost every girl that walks by could be a model. And for every one guy you see at least 2 girls. All then warm and approachable. If any of you want to contact me off site and discuss anything, here is my email and phone. R22pilotwhileypost@gmail.com 380731002191 William and Olga

Hi guy's seems as though were making progress in several areas. We should be running Ukraine huh !! My advice, legalize everything and tax the hell outta the corruption !! hahaha...We'd have us a rich country ! So to answer your questions i'll do my unabashed best. SMMORAVEC. The house's are generally built out of brick, then plastered. Interesting in itself because they have brick that need 4 coats of plaster, then others 3 coats,,then others 2 ! Just do the math at the time of construction and that will tell you what brick to use. And so my Georgeeee and I do most of the work ourselves then hire out the rest and that's the hard part ! Be careful, many many bandits ! I've been burned twice ! Not for much though. And paying people, just figure the labor will cost you 1/2 the cost of material and you will be in the ballpark. Whereas in the states the labor cost is roughly 2 times the material costs ! Ouch ! And definitely in agreement with Bill, have a Ukrainian negotiate for you.. And building codes, none, and inspection none for me...Sorry Bill !! But probably not more than a few hundred buck's right Bill ? If however you are building from the ground up, the electric co. ties you into the pole and then to your panel on the house and you go from there. Same with the gas co.. Pretty spendy, but nothing to outrageous. So yes NA67, we are the closet area of Fontanka to the mall. First right turn as you pass it, then head to the beach.. Probably 10 streets all paved about 1/2 kilometer long..As far as property values going up or down it will be the same as the usa was/is since 2008. My father taught me a simple rule and it is this : The world rolls using the dollar as it's currency. We all know, everything is about money. SO, when the usa went to hell in 08 the rest of the world followed, Ireland, Spain, Greece and on and on..Now, 8 years later housing in the states has been on the rise ( 90 percent of the various markets, Vegas, Az, Cali etc ) for about two years and rest of the world has been following. It's like a roller coaster with the usa being first. There ARE variance's such as the Brit's not tanking as much but AS A RULE, if your investing in other country's follow the usa lead and you'll be fine. I invested pretty good in Ukraine about three years ago again not waiting long enough for the market to bottom out, or listening to my sob of a dad, but I didn't really give a hoot if he was right or wrong, AGAIN ! Cost me another 50k, hahahaha.. Seems as though I have a listening issue, hahahaha...Anyway, the market in Ukraine is at the bottom now and will be for at least two more years.. So about the country's economics a little bit. First, that dam RUSSIA !! Moving on..The 2016 budget WAS passed at 24-1 exchange rate. My thoughts, the IMF and the rest of the lenders to Ukraine had to pretty much approve that budget or the loans would dry up..( and that was stated ) Try explaining that to your wife's ! There were and are, many requirements that the Ukrainian Gov has had to meet for the IMF to continue loaning and they have met all of them so far. I only hope the Ukrainian people can wait a few years, give the current leaders a chance before they oust out these guys too ! They don't understand and it's a little sad..Next : After a couple years of a negative gdp, Ukraine is actually projected to be in the black for 2016 ! It's only 1 percent but it's a lot better than a negative. That's huge as far as lenders are concerned and should be to any investors including us.. Imagine investing in say, Venezuela, ouch !! I want to share my opinion about the UAH vs the Dollar. First thing, of course it's irrelative to us.. Next thing, the prices of commodities in the stores are pretty much adjusted as the uah travels up and down against the buck. I'm not talking about cigarettes and booze and imported goods, i'm talking about rice and beans, and milk and eggs. So be it 24-1 or 10 -1 is quite irrelative in itself, right.. And when that corrupt pres. before Yanakovich was the pres. it was 2008, remember ! Everything was artificially inflated and to top that off, in Ukraine, with his corruption, the uah should have never been 6-1, never..13,14 was realistic at the time, same as Mexico is/was. He inflated the currency value so he was able to get loans internationally and it worked ! I'd like to also share that our Ukrainian wifes know what they hear on the streets, plus what there friends say, plus from what they have saw on television, ALL there life's. I'm not bashing any of them for sure so before continuing here, understand that please, but if you asked any of them what gross domestic product is, NONE of them would be able to explain it. It's why we like our man caves and bbq's !! And so, now that the country is moving towards western standards, it is up to us to be the leaders and decide the economics' from what we have learned. It is "where" they want to be as a whole, and all of us have at least 50 years experience in the west.. In other word's, we been there done that, there approaching. Talk to any Ukrainian, man or women and none of them understand economics as we do. No offense but they were never taught. The government did not WANT them to understand ! Anyway, I like my wife to just do as her Mom taught her, be kind and pretty !! hahahaha.. I wish the girls in the states were even near what ours are to put it mildly. And I don't really need her telling me how to build this or that or how to design anything so I just smile when she does. It's funny as hell she says, " darling, you only smile at me and not listen " hahahaha. They are a product of the Soviet era and I wouldn't have them any other way ! Furthermore I actually bought her a little shop at the bizzare a few years ago and she has never made more than 2 hundred bucks in a month, funny, again I just laugh and tell her how good she's doing..She's happy....and is not allowed to work herself in the shop, tradition ! About the bums..You have to look beyond is my opinion. There are just as many in the states per capita but in the states, we have shelters to house and feed them right, so hence, there not as visible. And we the generous taxpayer's foot the dam bill !! Bums are everywhere in the world and again my opinion, it's there choice 80 percent of the time. I say 80 percent going off a worldwide unemployment rate of 20 percent. Leaving the simple fact to rest that if they wanted a job they have an 80 percent chance of getting one relieving them from being dumpster divers !!! Sorry about the long post guys but after reading whats up today my melon got full !! See ya, and thank you, Ken !

Well guys-- I see something that has been missed in these discussions--- Property taxes-- If I missed it, so be it. BUT--- When buying a home, One pays a ONE TIME tax- of one percent. No yearly taxes! There is another tax-pension fund. On my home of 104,882American dollars, I paid 2600 dollars-- No more taxes due!! This is another incentive to live in Ukraine. Over the years, this can add up to be a lot of money in USA. someting tothink about. take care Bill

You're tellin me! My taxes are $3500/yr. and I have a small house 15 mins to the Chicago border. You don't have characters that look like terrorists, pakis, and asst. trash there I suspect. Sounds good Bill, they may change the taxes later. I've been reading about the "Global Entry reg". I don't need some big baboon gripping my crotch, and I won't stand for them starting on the wife and daughter,I was a bigger fool long ago. United almost killed my wife coming back from Frankfort long ago. Now we suffer almost everyday. The people sitting in front of us got sick no doubt, also. Never fly on an American carrier ( the pits), and Lufthansa is not much better. My best flights were on Austrian, Czech, and Aeroflot long ago, Aeroflot was great! We left N.Y. 2200, then dinner was maybe 0000hrs.free drinks whatever I wanted.I only took 2, I think, then warm breakfast eggs sausage in the morning before coming down in Kiev. They had party music on the out bound flight from N.Y. It sure made u.s. flights look like trash, with louzy baloney on white. Aurtrian Air had metal forks and knives with leather menus like in nice restaurants another time I flew: chicken breast or beef under gravy with mashed potatoes, and i listened to Strauss on the earbuds. I will always remember those happy flights, I guess the worst "may be ' KLM, or Air France NOW, if they are loaded with third world types. pathetic......

Hey Ken, every time you bring up your building mate I get flash backs to that movie "Zorba the Greek"....hope you got your "Zorba" on a shorter leash than the English bloke in the movie did haha.... That's a compelling suggestion about the half finished houses...leaves the possibility to put a personal stamp on em but minimizes dealing with the extra "traffic cops".....You mentioned corruption and your lady has a shop..I was wondering if you've experienced or heard much about the local mafia there?? Is the mafia myth or reality...Iheard once they have a habit of showing up at a newish business and suggesting you hire their services. Good to read Ukraine has finally turned the corner with the 1% growth expectations..especially considering russia is expecting another negative year of growth...hell,this oil price is slowly crushing putins whole campaign and credibilty...I still cannot get over how closely putins theft of Crimea and the decline of oil price coincided!!?? I'm hoping for a favorable regime change in Russia brought about by these collapsing oil prices.....Russia needs 50$ a barrel just to break even! $33 and lower for too long will be unbearable.....just watch Ukraine's GDP soar then...great time to be investing in Ukraine

If what I read is 1/2 true on Bloomburg finance and Yahoo finance. Many things like taxes will be changeing every January for the next 5-10 years in Ukraine. Since Ukraine is taking so much $$$ form the USA/IMF and EU, now today and over time they are REQUIRED/MANDATED to play by EU club rules now. If you heard any discussion about the 2016 budget for Ukraine. This is what alot of the fighting was about in Kiev. "As Ukraine takes money from EU, They will have German Bankers auditting their books for corruption." Many in Kiev did not want to do business like this!! Also taxes will be going up every year as new budgets get approved to transition into EU standards!! What was the norm this years, is open to change next year!! IMF and EU drives the Ukraine bus today and for along time to come....Ukraine people will be going along for the ride with no say in the matter! Keep your eyes open to this over time....

Michael you maybe right about Air new Zealand...its my fav airline but I cannot fly them from where I live as I do not go back to NZ...I never go backwards.. You know the indigenous NZers call New Zealand Aotearoa....it translates to "land of the long white cloud".....the incessant, gloomy grey weather there alienates many locals...inspires them to travel overseas(more kiwis living outside new Zealand than in it) About migrating there...you sound like you have time and technical experience on your side.....and the population there never seems to inflate so its a surprise to me you would have difficulty accessing the place through the back door....it's a very Politically correct place and has its fair share of third world strugglers...just saying. Yeah Jim Rogers no dummy but I suspect Singapore's corporate tax rates may be the big carrot attracting him...hey you not wrong about the weather.....stifling humidity...like expect to take four showers a day if you venture outside your air conditioning

Spot on NA67, one thing you wrote that I knid of hope is true is that the Ukrainian people have no say. As a whole "the public" has no clue what it takes and what is happening so they can become part of the Eurozone. And, the last guy they "voted in" they hated and ousted him.. I just don't know if the public can hang on during this transition..For us, it's not so important who is Pres. unless they switch to the Euro..Will be interesting but I'm not betting on anything !!

If Ukraine goes the way of the Eu or Russia. I can live with either way. I am afraid with what has happened over the last two years their are to many hard feeling...and the East and the Weat of Ukraine wont be able to live togeather. Many their seem so divided from my observations. Many favor the West/Eu/Poland...many favor Russia...many want to just be seperate. Sometimes I think it would be better if Ukraine went the way of Yugoslovia. Split it up into 2 or 3 smaller countries, so residents of the same area have the same goals, hopes and dreams and they can work together to achieve this. I struggle to see West Ukraine (Carpathia area and Kiev, Ivano Frankiv area) working with the East/Pro Russians. To much water under the bridge! But, I still have hope !! And I hope Ukraine does not adopt the Euro....that would screw up all or plans from the USA. Euro is so over valued...

the euros still not a going concern...that whole experiment is not out of the woods yet....the Greek situation (portugal and spain too) underlined that....Britain smelled a rat early and steered clear...for these reasons I cannot believe Ukraine allowed to enter 'Euro" until the euro-zone itself on stronger ground.....if and when economy's periodically hit head winds it is not possible for euro-members to deflate their currency in order to boost their trading competitiveness...I'm not a fan personally..just my opinion... When I saw putin, Poroshenko, merkel and the italian head of state(?) exit the room from which they were thrashing out a "ceasefire deal"...the expression on Poroshenko's face told me he is the right man for Ukraine at this time...he is genuinely concerned and passionate about Ukraine's interests going forward

Everything is made to "destroy white society," with political correctness, and make the world more third ,(low ) class. Who wants to reside in India or Bangledesh. I had coffee with the old black fellows this morning,"the IDIOT Vietnam character was NOT there with his insane b.s. how the u.s. is so goody , so it was o.k.The black guys are over 70, and they will say: things will never get better here. Esp. for the black males of the future. Just the way the world is bro.. the facts of life. money does the talkin. If they can handle a football, or sing, they have a future. Winter comes in tomorrow from Minnesota. good luck to you all out there on the eastern front!
