thanks for the Fedsmith site Nate.
I have read Sweden has outperformed the u.s. and will look into Canada.
Somecountries are tired of getting blackmailed by the u.s.(as we have seen with HSBC, if I remember) and WILL NOT let u,s, citizens open accts. I found that out when I tried to open an acct. with Raiffensen. I will research Canada as their money will not go down more, the dollar is way to high, and will come down. I read an article about silver walking dollars, ONLY (MS 70 grade). If one has 1 of these for every yr. in a case since 1985, the set is valued @ $180k. I saw a grade of MS 69 drops 25%. I know nothing of coin collecting but got a solicitation recently. The 2016 MS 70 coin can be bought for $40. It is something one can set up for your daughter, then buy one every yr for the next 30. They should return a decent sum whatever it is in 30 yrs., even when the dollar has been devalued 50% by then. just a thought

Fedsmith is a go
od web site Mike. It is the site many of my coworkers go to for inside information. One can get a heads up on things to come with the Federal Goverment. Or, at least what is being discussed and kicked around as an idea. The article about the U S Gov maybe not being able to cover Federal Employee pensions, Social Security, Military Disability pensions, and Military retirements was very disturbing. There will be a rebellion like no other if these checks stop coming. Especially if welfare checks and Social Security to illegial immigrants still come but working peoples retirments checks stop. I just cant imagine this .....

Your last lines about checks to illegals IS SCARY ! I have been researching
offshore banks,(I had nothing to do like most days). I wold most likely only move $10k or so as this is all new to me. I have too much (dead money) sitting around. I only normally use about $50K with what I am doing every month. I want "reliable income." I can't buy an Italian restaurant, as some ads CLAIM they make good money, $15K /month or better. Apparently they do well, as one place near me has 6 sites. Pasta costs nothing as does most of the things, glass of wine $7, "what the heck, I just bought a bottle of Maneshevitz, $4.50 on sale. That's maybe $20 if I sell it at a rest. I'll look into that site!
