For those of you concerned about healthcare, do it here ! Only under catastrophic conditions would I even consider having anything done in the usa and I would probably go to Germany or France if that were the case.. I have had 2 back surgery's, 1 knee surgery, two cosmetic surgery's, skin removed to be tested via biopsy, two growths being removed, artery's tested for blood clots, and major dental work at least 5 times a total cost of not more than $3000 ! That's over a 10 year period..The care, impeccable. Better than you could ever imagine. The facilty's : I have been to private hospitals, public hospitals and ALL of them satisfactory to my needs.. The public ones may not be as pretty as the Mayo Clinic or Cedars Sinai but the inside of the operating theaters are fully equipped with everything available needed. The doctors and nurse's are absolute professionals and as a bonus you all know what the nurses look like..So for those of you concerned with the all important medical care, save yourself from the un-affordable care act implied upon you and move !!

Thanks for posting this KK. My Heart Attack on Aug 6 2016 has cost me about $5600 out of pocket in about 3 months. Lena cracked 2 teeth this year, cost me $1150 out of pocket to fix. Trying to save $2200 out of pocket for the next dental bill coming in January for a bridge.

I really struggle with health care costs, and I work OT 6 days a week. I have no idea how retirees pay for these Medical Costs, it crazy and going up every year!!!(((

Hello and best wishes everyone. I am surprised to hear about NATE as Hate is not old. I do remember a mech. who was in his 30's getting a stent when I was getting in my qtr yr before retiring near Chicago. Nate,Albina and I are wondering, "WHERE are your V.A. benefits?
