Euronews-Ukraine Visa free travel

On 11/26/2016 Euronews is reporting that all EU members have agreed to grant visa free travel to Ukraine citizens on a short term basis. But, no date at which this will take effect has been set. Euronews states that concerns over illegial immigration into the EU by Ukraine citizens could cause an immediate shutdown of this visa free travel process for Ukraine, if this process is abused!!

I must admit I was surprised when I read this article this morning. With many current EU countries having radical swings in their current elections as a result of Syrian refuges flooding into Europe and all the terrorist attacks that have followed.

Moldova and Bulgaria in the last month just voted out pro EU parties as their leaders, as a result of immigration policies. Hungry is taking the EU to international court to try and stop forced EU immigration policies on its member states.

How do you think visa free travel will effect Ukraine if at all, in the first few years, if this goes thru!!

Hiya all ! And thx for the nice Tday wish Mr Nate..
As far as freedom for Ukrainian's to travel in and out of the EU, a few things will probably happen. First thing that comes to mind is our girls !! It will be easy for them to leave and our eye candy will slowly diminish ! Booooo !!
I think small business will prosper though, and therefore shed some of that prosperity onto the people of Ukraine. Now just buying on Ebay UK, or Amazon UK is really tough because nobody wants to ship to Ukraine. ! I've had to get a UK address, which is actually a forwarding co. that I have things shipped to up there, then they handle the shipping to me down in Odesa through a few preferred vendors such as DHL. But opening up the borders would also open up the trucking lines and stop some corruption,so good for Ukrainian business. Ultimately bringing more wealth to Ukraine. As it is now, it's "high risk" shipping to Ukraine without a tracking number. There's a few that contribute to this forum that can testify !
As far as refugee's coming to Ukraine, I cant see where there would be a huge influx. But I don't know any of them and there thought process,,I know there afraid of Roosiya though so probably the further away from there, the better !

Yes KK I have first hand experience in shipping to Ukraine items like cloths and shoes to family and friends. It's a 50/50 shot at getting something shipped to Ukraine and not be stolen!!

Hi guys-- Wow- I must be the lucky one then! In the last five years, I have shipped at least 50 extra -large boxes of all kinds of items-- clothes- bed sheets, drapes, foods, tools, tvs-- tables, with not ONE problem. I have used MEEST shipping for all shipping-- good price-- delivered to my door. I will be going back in the summer, and will send more boxes as well. Really miss my pancake syrups, peanut butter, salad dressings, -- i also ship Mc Cormicks enchillada mixes, taco seasonings. Sorry to hear about some of ya'lls losses. I have been working on this house some more, added on a foyer-- Lots of insulation in my attic, A new fence across the back yard, and some other things as well. We need more activity on here-- getting lonely for some comaderie. take care guys.

KBill I am laughing as I type this. I have shipped 5 packages with Meest. 3 were good, 1 opened and looked thru, 1 lost for a month in Lviv and then could get no help from Meest in Odessa. I went off on the local pickup shop and at the Odessa distribution center. Also I had scammers calling me at home wanting me to pay more money with my credit card to get one package shipped the rest of the way to Ukraine. Meest could not explain the phone calls, said they did not originate from Meest.

Ukraine is always good for a laugh !!!

Sorry for being off topic here but: Our friend Extremevx definitely needs some luv..His last email to me a few days ago was extremely troubling. He says he was jumped by 6 guys in Nikolaev and just got out of the hospital due to a concussion. The next sentence he stated it was "war on ". and that he was prepared to die..Anyway, I met William and his wife Olga over the summer and I could see that there was definitely trouble on the horizon between the two of them. Right wrong or indifferent, I'm letting you guys know his email address r22pilotwhileypost@gmail.com..I could be out of line passing out his email info to the public and I apologize in advance but I think its the right thing to do. I'm in the states right now and returning late Jan. Maybe he will listen to one of you and get back on track. Or maybe one of you have an idea..After all he is an American on foreign soil who is in need of a friend...My opinion is he needs to leave that city asap and get away from that girl.. He say's she is responsible for the beating and it will happen again if he doesn't leave...Remember, he went to Ukraine, so more than likely the authorities will look at him as the guilty party and will do nothing.

RE: Visa free travel to the EU. I can see it now...a large banner stretching across the face of the Kiev Train Station. It says, "Will the last person leaving Ukraine please turn out the lights!"

sad but possibly very true. The only people that might not go are the very poor. I had it explained to me by someone who travels outside Ukraine a great deal....he says....the issuing of visa's to Ukraine citizens is based a lot on your income and $$$ in the bank. If you make $200-$400 USD each month, you would have a much greater problem obtaining a visa than someone who is a businessman.
making $2000-$4000 each month.

I guess they know why a poor person wants to leave so badly. And never come back. And its not for a vacation in Paris.
