Ukraine will be a part of Turkey

Due to Poroshenko's ventures, Ukraine runs the risk of turning into a Turkish enclave on the border with Europe one day.

German mass media outlets published an article analyzing the intricacies of the current Turkish policy. Among other things, some facts pivotal for Ukraine are touched on there. After the sudden chilling of the Turkish-Russian relationship in November, 2015, the cooperation between Turkey and Ukraine got powerful impetus, not only in economy but in military and political fields as well. Though after the failed coup attempt, Turkey changed drastically its political priorities, so we should now ask ourselves about the real strength margin of this cooperation and whether it actually compatible with the Ukrainian strategic agenda.

In Ukraine, today, I would say anything is possible. With Trump being elected President. I believe the money flow and military assistance and moral support will be reduced. With that said, Ukraine will look to other options, maybe Turkey.

Ukraine depends greatly on IMF and EU $$$. The best situation in my opinion for Ukraine, is to try and obtain a stability in the relations with its own people. East and West, all the best people and regions need to be on the same page working hard together to move Ukraine forward. With a weak economic situation, stability and team work is badly needed. Oligarch's must go, they influence and control Kiev's decision making to much. Keeping the rich, rich, and keeping the poor, poor, is not much of a game plan.

I hope for the best in Ukraine. I think of Ukraine, my friends and family their, my friends here on EE everyday.

I could see a strong economic relationship between Turkey and Ukraine. There already is. A large portion of retail durables are imported from Turkey every year.

Ideologically...never. Bottom line is Turkey is a Muslim country and Ukraine is definitely racist. I have spend a lot of time in the South here in the U.S. and still am appalled at how blatantly racist Ukrainians are.

As for Trump et al....I disagree. I think that he will impose solutions to get our economy out of the slump it has been in. Once our economy improves, the rest of the globe will follow suit, including Ukraine. This will indirectly affect Ukraine, but affect it nonetheless.

I do agree that direct assistance will not be forthcoming from the Trump camp. He is so buddy-buddy with Russia, it truly scares me.

My comment about Trump policy with Ukraine was based on his own words in the news media (Fox news, Euro news and DW news from berlin). He basically stated each time....the Ukraine issue is not our (USA) problem. Ukraine is an EU and Russian issue. Let them deal with Ukraine.

As Trump has stated 100 times on every news agency out their. He will put American needs first. American jobs, American security, American Military first.....their is not enough $$$ to go to other country's as free bee's any more.

I think his words are rather clear, but I might be misunderstanding him. Maybe he just wont follow thru on his words. But Trump appears to me as a man of action, what he says, Trump seems to follow thru with. Time will tell all as always.

Also keep in mind the good old boy club in Washington has fallen apart to a degree. He is not naming carrier politicians that owe favors to large International companies to his staff. I think his policies will be much more different in International affairs due to his appointments lack of obligations to others financially, as in the past. Again, we shall see.

EXTREME, I hope you are doing well in Nikoleav. Keeping you in mind brother !!!

yeah agree..hope extremevx back to firing on all cylinders.
I dont think america would have got twhere it is today by being run by one-man-bands. Already you can see a notable change in his tone as he is being guided by more experienced heads in the hierarchy . It is a worry that he's putting his weight behind international withdrawal but what he wants and what he gets will be two different things. He wants americas advantage to continue so america cannot afford for russia and china to gain too much from american foreign policy of disengagement . some of the pitfalls or shortcomings of his world view willbe explained to Trump ...that it won't be in americas interests to disengage completely. I base my assumptions on americas uncannily successful calls over a couple of centuries and that Trumpis a reasonable person..he will modify a view if it works better than one of his own. My guess is "he" will let Syria go(Assad will stay) but america will still support sovereignty of Ukraine as Trump likes beautiful women and as we all know most of them reside in Ukraine ...there might be a couple of other reasons too...Trump's wife comes froma neighboring country (.I'm half kidding of course
