Again today as I was exiting baggage claim coming to Odesa, there was a frkn corridor of women lined up waiting for there man ! Both sides,2-3 deep ! Smiling, laughing carrying on like kids ! And they couldn't have all been hookers cause one of em was my wife ! I swear guy's, no matter what horror story's you've experienced, or heard, or read, there's still something very cool and especial about Odesa and I like it ! If a guy cant find a girl here, stay home !

100% agree KK. I have heard a lot of sad stories on many web sites about not being able to find a lady in Ukraine. How ??? As long as you are kind, honest, respectful of their religion and Slovic culture. Show respect to their families. How can one not have success in Ukraine.
If you cant find success, you damn sure need to address you approach and tactics !!!

...it;s like another world completely...hope it stays like this the further south I move. Arrived in Kiev coming out of airport to take the first breath of fresh crisp air i can remember taking in decades......great first impression for me.Can see why the ladies are so trim...not just all the walking but how they walk.....I couldn't keep up some with of em...like drill sergeants! I know i'll at least be getting fit here. Wow the women working at the hotels and banks...i can see where most of ours have gone wrong now...lost their femininity. Simple as that. Soon as I get(hopefully) the suit case Lufthansa airline lost/mislaid ill head further south....hope to catch up with a few others expats doing the hard yards here(hehe)

Yes, they all have good posture and they all go to the gym. hard to believe, but it's true for most of them. But, the reason most of them are trim is most likely because they all smoke, even though they claim not too. More than a few women I got to know told me they would never stop smoking because they would get fat!

Hello forum: I want to wish that down under guy a fruitful time here in Gods country! Yes, Odessa is a fine place for women, however the same types can be found in most areas of Ukraine. Found mine in Kherson -- city of about 400,000 people-- One year younger than the USA! Just across the bridge, is Tsyrupinsk--- A port city that is thousands of years old-- was once a hub in world wide shipping! The economy in Kherson is about 25 percent cheaper to live than in Odessa. Im here now-- going to USA in March-- through Odessa airport- back in June. The streets are snow bound, and iced -- just returned from a small store close by , using the car-- very slick. Hope to get to meet many patriots this summer when we return-- maybe KK will be gracious enough to have another get together. Sorry to see the hryvna keep slipping-- Dollar is strong here. Gonna have my 75th birthday party with family this year--26th March. Have a grand daughter getting hitched on the 25th. Lets light up this forum some-- ok guys? Blessings to all! take care.

Nice! My birthday is on the 23rd of March...
Where are you coming to in the U.S. KhersonBill? I am actually hoping to relocate to Odessa here sooner than expected. Just got off the phone with a U.S.-based company that has an affiliate in Odessa and are hiring software developers like crazy. They need a systems guy that speaks English on the ground there. I might be able to cut back part time with my current employer and just do remote work for them, haven't approached them yet. But they can't lose me, so it is almost a given. Be cool...have a foot in both worlds and still have decent money coming in. Sorry, I am still young and poor and need to work...not like KK who is young and rich LOL!

SSmoravec-- I will be arriving in San Antonio, Texas for a couple days-- then to Houston-- I worked for 30 years in Houston as a Longshoreman-- retired at 55. I'll most likely stay in the Houston area most of my time on vacation. Possibly go to Tennessee and visit with my second daughter, and her family there. Jackson Tenn. I save SO MUCH money living here in Ukraine-- two different worlds-- However I do miss having close English speaking friends. My wife's family and mine now, are great people! Coming from Central Texas (San Antonio, area)-- the snow, and cold weather here are alien to me! I'm an old Sun worshipper, I guess. I enjoy the posts that are here on the forum-- wish there were more. Oh- My wife , Polina and I have been married for over 14 years now, met her in 2002. take care-- stay in touch . Bill

Hello Bill… I Really Like San Antonio, TX… When I Go There I Always Stay At The St. Anthony Hotel and In The John Wayne Suite!!! That Is Where John Wayne Stayed When Making The Movie Alamo!!! The Woman I Love Is In Mykolaiv/Nikolaev…And I Can’t Wait To get Over There And Get Started With My New Family! Be Careful If You Come To Houston Now… Much Flooding Going On Now And It Is A Mess!!! I Hope That None Of Your Family Or Friends Are Affected!!!

yeah thanks Khersonbill...so far so good on the fruitful side of things...though still havent got my friggin suitcase back from the hapless Krauts!!! Had an interesting taxi ride from Kiev to Nikolaev yesterday...I see what you mean about the native speaker thing...it's like hand squeezing orange juice for six hours when you're with a non native speaker... Hell, it's a no-brainer for anyone who can get paid to live here , to do so. I much prefer the size of Nikolaev to Kiev....it's got Rocky written all over it this place...vintage81/82 Rocky. Walked into the gym attached to the hotel here and even had 80's KISS blearing away.....too good to be true this place.Don't know what all the fuss about scams is..took a $1.50 Aus taxi across town that would have cost me close to 20 back home...this place is nuts...way too cheap...you can live like Henry the VIII here!. Looking forward to what Odessa springs on me..and maybe Kherson. I can see how you're saving a packet Khersonbill. Smart move all round!! Kind of takes my mind off all the puzzling manoeuvres and head fakes i'm getting from the few ladies I had lined up.........nother story though....

Kk,
Two seats...? Not sure what that buys you. They are bunks, four to a berth. Either you are on top or bottom. If you get tow, I guess you do not have to worry about the guy on top stepping on you every time he needs to take a leak...

Yeah, and there are not a lot of English speaking staff around either. I was in Kiev once trying to buy a ticket to Odessa and the lady at the ticket booth had no clue what I was trying to do. I had to call one of my Russian speaking friends to talk to her.
