just saw your message on Expat forum. Welcome to the hustle nd bustle of mad Dubai. I too moved here from, Toronto, Canada just 12 months ago, and will be going for my first annual vacation to Canada and US next month. So not to worry,though could be a bit unsettling initially, you'll get to like it here, and you can always count on me for help and support. I am a dotor practising here in Dubai .
Regarding visas, as a Canadian Citizen you dont require Visas for a month in this country, so you can enter without visa,and i think its easily renewable, or you can just go across he border to oman and get the passport stamped and renter, so i dont think you should worry about visa.
Regarding Job too, i think there should be no problem. Anyway I'll leave you my number should you need any help or guidance, 050 7383370. Hi Dr. Mark,

Thank you for your advice and your kind email. Much appreciated. I am a slightly bit anxious as it's a big step to take and know that eventhough I'm Canadian, I worry about racism against being Filipina also. And a female to boot. But I'm sure I'll be able to take all that in stride.

Is there a big population of Canadians in Dubai?
