Hey, can anyone give me some info on Emirates Group? Are they cool to work for? Do they pay US Licensed acft mechanics pretty good? Where is a good area to live with easy access to the international airport?

Thank you in advance,
Drew

Hey Drew,

I am on skype with hubby right now who is airline pilot for MidEx. What type of aircraft are you rated on? I don't know much about Emirates and if they have openings but you can email my husband at Rvav8r@aol.com and he can hook you up with the chief mechanic at Mid Ex ( freight) ED or send your resume/cv to my husband Mike and he will forward it to the hiring guy at MidEx. MidEx is freight company. The first in the UAE... reminds me of a little company a guy named Fred Smith started :) They have a fleet 6 A300's and 1 747, 2 are in Heavy check right now. and they are purchasing more. By the way, these are all PAID FOR and Mike said they are CLEAN and very well maintained. Mike said just now, forward your resume and he will see what he can do. PS. MidEx is in Alain.. that is where all flights in/out of kinda like Fed Ex is to Memphis which is where we are from lol

Thank you for your response, I will check out your husband's company. I am however mainly interested in Emirates Group. I do not have a shortage of work here, I just want a better job. There should be enough avionics jobs in Dubai with the way they are expanding. I also heard its hard to change jobs once you are in the country... I just sent my resume to emirates last week, let me see what they say.... i'll let ya know.

Best of luck to you. From what we have heard MidEx has a better package offer and remember alot of those jobs go to the nationals and sometimes are taken by others who will work for alot less.
