Hello,
My husband of thirteen years and I live in San Francisco. I am American and he is English with permanent residency in the States. We are finally feeling it's time to come over, his parents and siblings are in England and he has two teenage sons in Germany. We are freelance photographers and can work anywhere so we are thinking about bouncing around Europe for a while before settling. I am lost about where to find the proper paperwork for me as a spouse of an Englishman and I would suppose that he should get dual citizenship while we are still in the states. We are just playing around with our options so far and would welcome any suggestions. I just finished ten years of cancer treatment and would love to be a bit of a European nomad before setting roots closer to the English in-laws as they get older. Does anyone know where we find the proper paperwork? Thanks in advance.

I live and work in UK as of August, '17. You may want to contact relocation companies as they can facilitate many of the international transition details. I wish I had done that!

This is not a bad first step:

https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration

Next, I would look at websites of immigration consultants and solicitors.

There are also Facebook groups for these types of discussions.

Unfortunately, ExpatExchange may not be the best place as there seems little valuable discussion on this topic for the UK.
