What a beautiful spit on Earth. So glad our research was on the mark with this country, I have not yet been here 24 hours & I love the lack of development outside the cities, the friendly people, the slower pace to life & the feeling of going back in time to a life that was simpler .

Punta del este is a beautiful city & now I understand the interest in paying premium fees to rent places here during peak winter.

Flew into MVD, uneventful. My ticket was expensive as I bought in w/in a few days of the trip but with Priceline, I paid less than I would have paid for a less direct flight. Left Charlotte @ 8 pm w/a 1 1/2 hour stop in Miami & was in MVD by 10 AM.

Lovely day checking out houses & getting excited for the move at the end of June.
