I just wanted to post this as a general "thank you" since everyone has been so helpful. I know you guys have better things to do with your time than answer a bunch of questions (many that you've probably heard and answered before), so I greatly appreciate (as I'm sure everyone else does) all the time and advice you spend on us.

In a way, it's nice that Uruguay has kind of fallen through the cracks and hasn't been overrun by tourists, but it does make getting accurate information off the internet a little more difficult.
