I came across a movie called el bano de papa online. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to order it.
Can anyone recommend a movie that would give me and other potential expats a taste of South America, specifically Uruguay?
Thanks,
W.

W:
This is an old show that makes fun of the bureaucracy in Uruguay. This is pure every day Uruguayan Spanish. Might be easier to understand than a Movie because there’s no background noise but it’s full speed “Rioplatense Spanish” The show is called “Piso 8” (Floor number 8” ) and you can watch many episodes on Youtube. Type “Piso 8 – Cap” or follow the link.

Ed - That is a great show! I did not understand everything but I can relate to the experience of visiting a government office.
Thanks for posting.

El baño de papa is good from an International Film viewing perspective. From the perspective of getting to know Uruguay and it's culture... I don't think it really does.
It is great viewing though,so no time lost!
