Our temporary cedulas expire in July '16. We have to be away then. Is it a problem to renew in august? we don't need to start allover, do we? i mean if we renew a month late?

BTW in the past you need to get a permit to leave the country while residencia permanente was in tramite. I Don't know whether this is needed now a days.

If you still are not a resident it does not matter when you renew the cédula. Onse you got the residency, you allways have to renew before expiration.
