Younger American expat looking for friends!

Yes I do realize how desperate this sounds, but 27 year old females seeks other female friends! I am an expat from the States looking for a few other younger female expats to hang out with! I lived a number of years in Buenos Aires where we had an extensive network of female expats who met every once in a while for brunch, potlucks, happy hours, etc. and some English conversation. I'd love to try to replicate something like this here in Montevideo!

I'm 27 and have lived in South America for about 6 years all combined (Buenos Aires and Montevideo). I speak fluent Spanish, but sometimes it is nice to just have a few conversations in English and relax the brain a bit!

Anyone else in Montevideo longer term and interested?

Hi Laynita.
You should check out the internations site. It has a lot of social engagements in Montevideo with a younger crowd.

Hi, My name is Kei ( Key) and I am 27 also from the states and I have been here in Uruguay for 6 almost 7 months ( Maldonado) but sometimes come to Montevideo. I have no friends or associates here.

I actually stumbled across this site because I was looking for online jobs but I started to browse more through other topics. Though, before my job search I was wanting to meet other english speakers here in Uruguay but I did not know where to look or what site or place to go.

I will be here for a long time and this might be crazy but I do not speak Spanish, I only know basic greetings and that is all, my partner is from here who is bi-lingual and the only one I speak english to. So it would nice to meet others that speak english. I am working on trying to learn Spanish but I am interested in meeting a few english speakers.
