I have temporary cédula and I want to go out for at least 1 year, therefore it's a one way ticket. I'm not sure If I need approval from immigration or I can just go out. Thanks for the helpers

These are comments on the Facebook group from people who tried to leave.
You will not be able to travel without the permiso de reingreso, it is not optional. The first time we traveled after starting the tramite we did not have it, and we could not pass the immigration office.

This happened to me... once you are in the Uruguay system they can stop you from flying out even if you say you are not coming back... just get the reingresso. Be sure!!!! I was delayed 3 weeks leaving and sleeping on the floor with my kid...
You would be wise to get the proper document from Immigration.

it is very easy -just go to immigration, no appointment or long line necessary - a short meeting with a worker who notes the details - you pay at the caja and you are given your reingresso certificate which you need to exit UY (we keep them for returning but i don't think it is necessary). Muy facil. 30 min. max

You could be in trouble. You will have to buy a Re-Entry-Permit at Immigrations before you leave, but this Permit is valid for one year. You also have to consider that your Residency Application will be hold on stand-by as soon as they notice that you are out of the country for a long time.
