Tomorrow nite, Dec. 9th, most of the museums in the whole country are offering special programs, in the evening, which include things like live music, snacks, and everything is free. They do this every year and do a great job. Last year, here in Minas, the cultural museum/Lavalleja's home also showed a video all about the local archeological site, Valle del Hilo de la Vida. And the windmill museo allowed people to cimb up the ( rickety ) stairs to see the night view ( usually open only during the day ). I'm not sure what they have cooked up for this year, but I know it will be great ( the staff are fun - they dress up like Lavalleja family members on his birthday... ) It starts at 21:30 hours here, but check with your local museos. ( and the best museum in town is Horatio cho cho's MUSEUM OF MINIATURAS but i dont know what he is offering ....... )
