There are few good bilingual schools in Montevideo and Maldonado. Were are you thinking of moving exactly?

How about the British School? I know graduates and have been very impressed with students I have chatted with.

Here are a few folks comments on another site.

There are good private schools everywhere and some will only take him/her if they can speak English or Spanish.

Montevideo Kids is a kindergarten that might take her in. Great place!

I would recommend to you Uruguayan American School at Carrasco Area It's an expensive choice, but the school has plenty of International Students,
.I heard American school but bit expensive for me
The German school is also in Pocitos, they teach 3 languages and are very demanding but said to be very good.
All bilingual schools are expensive and they start at $10,000 pesos per month
I have seen children learn English and Spanish (not knowing either when they arrived) starting in Kindergarten at the American School. Children learn quickly, playing with the other children.

Yeah German school is closer to 20,000 pesos depending on the grade and needs
We began looking last year at the end of February. We interviewed 4-5 schools. Our children spoke only English and none of the schools we interviewed were bilingual.

We are having very good luck with this small one, did more for my son than many larger and more expensive schools said they would do

Uruguayan American School in Carrasco is a really good option and they follow USA Calendar. German school in Pocitos another great option. British School in Carrasco too good option (mix between international students and a lot of diplomats St. Brendan’s school is a good bilingual Option (English/Spanish) with International Baccalaurate (IB).
