Hello
I will be moving to Margarita Island, Venezuela at the end of the year, from the UK. I have 2 Persian cats that I want to take with me. Does anyone know the rules on this? I can't find the info anywhere! Is it 6 months quarantine? Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks Hayley

Dear Hayley, Check with the Venezuelan Consulate near you. I brought my dog from the u.s. to Margarita Island and there was no quarantine. Certified (by Venezuelan consulate and my state) health certificates and up-to date vaccination records were necessary. Also, check with your airline for their rules on shipping your pets. also check my site for more Margarita information. www.retirecaribbean.com

I am sorry that I do not have any information on taking your pets. However, I too am very interested in going to Margarita and would appreciate any information you would be able to provide. Thanks so much and best of luck to you.

Hi Hayley
Our family is considering relocating to Margerita Island and when I saw your message I wondered if you could offer us any advice about who to talk to regarding the legal implications etc of moving, we are looking to open a hotel complex. Any guidance you could offer would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
David

Hi Hayley
I lived on Margarita for a year from Nov 2003 to Nov 2004,if I remember righly you can fly on the german charters with no problems if you have a pet,a german friend of mine did it without any hassle, the UK companies wouldt accept any animal at all.

Hi, I am from the UK and have been in Margarita for 3 and a half years. Buying hotels, land and apartments is easy. If you dont speak the lingo it is important you have a translator and a lawyer. Drop me a line if you wish to see photos of some hotels we have for sale. Regards Eddie
