Is there any way I can convince you not to do it? Sadly, we Venezuelans are running away from our own country. Margarita Island is filled with high crime plus we have some of the highest inflation rates in the world. I suggest you look elsewhere.

As a non-Venezuelan living in Caracas, I encourage to try and do this if it's what you really want. I have found Venezuelans to be very warm and have no regrets moving here. As long as you know that there is no "perfect" country/place, you'll do just fine.
Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of information regarding Margarita Island, except that the cost of living is a lot lower than Caracas. Try looking on allexperts.com and do a search for Venezuela. One fo the "experts" on there currently lives on Margarita Island and is always willing to offer information about living there.

Hey how are you? Im gonna get to the point, i am going to move and i dont care where or what happens, ive always felt that i belonged somewhere else and i need to make it happen. I could care less if i die in the jungle, i have never feared life and the country i reside ( canada) does not provide the life i seek, i seek not riches nor paradise, i seek my own world, i just need some help getting situated, i just need a foot in the door ( and not financially or for love) i just cant get off the plane and set up camp in the jungle, i need help getting directions or contacts, my dream is to work an animal santuary for only small meals and shelter, i am a carpenter by trade, and seek only life, if you know of anything please help me.. I am a good person, honest, sincere and have so much to learn, i just cant take this life anymore, and i know " oh you dont realize how good u have it". Well to that i say.... Keep it. I want less....

If you think you're moving to a jungle, you are in for a huge surprise!! There are 1/3 million residents on the Caribbean island and we have Malls and shopping centers, casinos and lots of great beaches, but we're quite civilized here! Cel phones and Wi-fi and satellite communication abound.
