Traveling with Pets to Margarita Island

I am flying into Caracas and would like to bring my 2 dogs and 1 cat to Margarita Island. I know that Conviasa flies there but haven't been able to find out whether animals are allowed in the baggage area of the plane. Has anyone ever done this and has it been a hassle?

With Conviasa one never knows if you will be flying on a jet with pressurized luggage area or on a turboprop, they use a lot of turboprops. You are better off taking Aserca Airlines to the island, they only use jets. Good luck!
