Dear All,

I would like to know what will be the total amount i will get after deduction of tax from $3500? What will be my monthly expenditure in Hanoi if I live a modest lifestyle?

Your tax could be around 35 to 40 %.

The income tax is graduated meaning that you will pay 10% straight off and then more based on any salary over a certain amount.

There aren't many people here making that much money so it will be hard to find someone with whom to compare.

I make about $1,500 a month and pay 10% as does my husband.
