As in the areas of Baguio and Sagada, Philippines the growing of strawberries is the most valuable cash crop there with its moderate temperate climate doubling ones investment capital per year. The Da Lat area would be ideal to do the same cash crop in Viet Nam. The key is getting the right strain of strawberry to grow there, which may take some experimenting if one could import plants from the Philippines. This would create other products for the Vietnamese markets of jams and jellies. Other more expensive berries such as blueberries, red raspberries and blackberries are another possibilities as is grown in Mexico and Chile for the US market.
