Vets in Sana'a?

Hi! I wondered whether anyone has any experience of vets in Sana'a.

I'm thinking of bringing my cat with me when I move to the city this summer. Are there any vets - and if so, are they any good?

Also, if anyone has any experience of bringing their pets into the country I'd be really grateful for your advice. I love him to bits and just want to weigh up what's best for him.

Thanks!

Well I just left Yemen only a couple months ago - and must say I did not own a pet while I was there.

Sana'a has many stray - wild - cats and dogs. I suggest. You will most likely want your cat to remain an indoor cat. Rabies is also present.

Among those who did own pets, they usually depended on a vet from out of country. Groups of pet owners would arrange for a vet to come in from the Gulf (UAE, Bahrain etc.)

The vet would visit about once or twice a year.
