Hello. I will be moving to Harare for a year starting in mid-May (2007) and am currently looking into accomodation options. I am interested in hearing more about your house if it is still available. I live and work in The Hague, The netherlands. I have a house for rent in Marlborough in Harare. It offers four bedrooms, living room and dining room, Borehole water connected to water mains and pumped through the house for use both in and outside, security system for both the perimeter(yard) and the house itself with possibilty of security reaction team, recently renovated and working swimming pool. The house is situated in a close close to a medical centre in Marlborough, right on the boarder with Mount Pleasant.I am looking at a rental equivalent to 300 US dollars per month. If we agree for you to pay me the equivalent amount in Euros where I live your rent is fixed at that rate for the rest of the year.

Have you found a rental yet. I have had a very difficult time finding a home to rent in Zimbabwe. I will be returning there in October from the US. There are many homes for sale, but rentals seem to be few and far between. I would like to rent until I decide on a home to purchase. I only need a 6 month rental and I need it yesterday. I am looking to spend no more than 20 million monthly.

My husband and I are hopefully moving to Zim in the Fall of 2009, but would consider buying a home this Summer/Fall. Are there any photos you could send of the house? Why are you moving, may I ask? Do you know of any kind of website that could be helpful to us as we try to locate a home to buy in Harare? Where is Chisipe in relation to the University?

I own a lovely house in Emerald Hill, Harare zoned for one prominent junior school and two senior schools. Emerald Hill is approximately 10 minutes drive to the northern suburbs including Borrowdale, and 10 minutes drive to the Harare CBD. Emerald Hill is in close vicinity to Arundel and Mount Pleasant office parks, where the EU and a number of other organisations are located. Our property is fully walled with electric fence on top and down the inside of the wall; a manageable size of approximately 4500 square meters. Our yard has a chiptile swimming pool, and excellent security with a radio link to a reaction team. The main house has 4 bedrooms (main ensuite), 2 full bathrooms and 2 separate toilets, dining room, lounge, kitchen, pantry, laundry room, double door garage. In the garden there is a 2 bedroom cottage with a full bathroom, open-plan lounge and kitchenette, also alarmed. Both the cottage and main house each have a satellite dish installed for DSTV. The main house has been wired to accommodate a generator (we use 5.5kva) which can generate enough electricity for the whole property. There is a three room domestic quarters. We do have a cook/maid and a gardener who live on the property and who we would like a potential renter / owner to take on. We estimate the the property will be available in the first quarter of 2009. We would prefer to sell. if you are interested please do not hesitate to contact me by email for the quickest response.

We actually live in Zimbabwe and are looking for a decent house to rent for long term. My husband is a manager of an ostrich export company and I am a wildlife artist that works from home. We have 2 boys aged 15 and 10. We are houseproud people and would upkeep the property but do have a budget of 700 to 1000 usd a month. We have tried the estate agents here and find that the houses they manage have been left to degenerate and are certainly not the standard we are used to.
