I am working with a Montessori school for disadvantaged children in Nicaragua. The teachers have undergone training in the Montessori Method for over three years now, breaking the traditional rote learning that they are accustomed to administering (www.therighttolearn.org). Is anyone else working with Montessori schools abroad and might have tips for helping teachers implement new methods?

I apologize not being able to directly answer your question at this time but I came across your post on google so I must post.... I am currently receiving my primary Montessori training at the Northwest Institute AMI training center. I am having trouble finding Montessori schools in South and Central America and these are the communities and cultures I am most interested in for work, plus I am passionate about learning Spanish. What is the name of this school? Do you have any suggestions to finding a possible position in this area or maybe its surrounding areas?

I believe you've already contacted me. If not, the name of our school is School of Louise's Dreams (Escuela de Suenos de Luisa). We are in Nagarote, Leon. I believe there are a few other Montessori schools in Managua, but I do not have any connection with these schools.
