I'm looking to fly into Managua around the first of July, I would like to go to Granada from there, then to San Juan Del Sur, then back to Managua, probably stay 3 or 4 days in each place starting in Granada. is there bus service or are Taxis a safe bet. Do they have public taxis or Guaguas. Thanks. BtC

Bus service is excellent all across Nicaragua though it may be an old USA school bus many times. I would take a taxi from Managua airport to Granada $30-40. Then for your trips to SJDS and back to Managua there are a myriad of taxis, drivers or just take the buses. There are also regular shuttle services from Granada to SJDS and return.
