Today, I read a warning, on a vacation rentals-Granada website, about electricity going out for 4 hours per day & sometimes water also. Can anyone elaborate on that? I plan to come for August.

I visit Nicaragua often, to me any power or water cut-off is never a big issue. Most homes have a back-up water source. Most times it's a very short period of time. Most I've seen is about 1 hr or less. Only once in a year of visits in different months.

Yes, I lived in Granada for about 6 months and the water usually comes in the morning. You just have to store it for later. The power wasn't a big issue, usually OK.
