I am contemplating moving to Nicaragua as an retiree. The most important part of my life is my walk with Jesus so finding a church would be #1 on the priority list. Any suggestions appreciated. Looking forward to exploring the great outdoors!

I'm not familiar with any English-speaking churches in Granada, but I too enjoy the wonders of God on my morning walks. I think the most reverent "church" is the one we visit every time we venture outside. The country here is absolutely gorgeous. When it rains or we have thunder and lightening, I think this must be where He first tried it out? When I walk through a neighborhood and a small barefoot boy is laughing and giggling at splashing in the water along the street, or watch an old woman sweeping the gutter clean in front of her home and stops to say, "Hola" I realize I'm in kind of a church. So, all I have to do is look around me on a daily basis and then I guess you could say I go to church often. My mother was very spiritual, but she also said that, "sitting in the middle of a garage won't make you become a car." Good luck on your search for an English speaking church, but as I mentioned, I don't know of one in Granada.

For Granada I would suggest getting with Charles and Sarah Kay who have started a church and faith-based foundation.
I'd rather not give out their email on a public forum. If interested email me at bushamy13@yahoo.com.

I live in San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua and I am in the Christian Surfers group which meets Saturday night with English speakers. Sunday night is my favorite though because all my friends are there. Get a Spanish/English Bible like I have.

Hossana Granada is an Assembly of God Church north of town off NI-4. It is spanish but there are many that speak english there including the pastor and the staff. Spent time there on a missions trip last year. Great services and great people. they run around 500+. Type in the church nake on Facebook.
The parent church is Hosanna Minaguan and they run about 2000+ in Managua. Many speak english and I think they have an english service.
Hope this helps.
